As the sun rises over Lake Roosevelt in our little corner of the world, we start the day enjoying a cup of delicious Crandall Coffee.
Arabica green beans have been slow roasted to produce a coffee worth a second cup.
As you browse through our selection of small batch roasted coffees, you will find that we offer light, medium, and dark roast coffees intended to please the discriminating palate.
Along with the ten acre organic fruit orchard that we tend, we have found it necessary to supplement our income with jobs outside of the fruit business. John has worked in real estate and done some substitute teaching while I worked as para-pro in the local elementary school. We were willing to work hard assuming that our retirement investment would kick in when we were wanting to no longer work the orchard. Well, 2002 changed all of that when we watched our investment decline to the point where we drew out the remaining balance and decided that we had better figure out some sort of business that we were willing and able to run that would carry us into our retirement years.
At the time, our daughter was in high school and was playing on the varsity basketball team. During one of the games I was sitting next to the mom of another player who had the only espresso shop in Kettle Falls. Out of the blue came the thought that no one in this area roasts coffee, especially organic coffee.
Later I shared this with John who took it seriously and started researching coffee roasting . He discovered that Diedrich roasters are built in Sandpoint, Idaho which is only a two hour drive from here. So off he went to a two day session where he was introduced to the coffee industry. Obviously we decided to step out and into the coffee roasting business.Our business includes custom roasting for business and private accounts along with a variety single origins and blends available here at our fruitstand, in local businesses, and on the internet. Nearly nine years later we are in a craft that has opened a new world to us and which will provide for us into retirement.
Our goal is to provide fresh roasted coffee to those who are wanting to enjoy the aroma and flavor of coffees from regions found around the equator. Is that you? We hope so.

Having served the public for 28 years gives us the experience to provide a quality product and service. We choose only the finest quality beans from our importers. Our beans are roasted on a state of the art Diedrich Coffee Roaster that uses infrared technology to ensure even heat distribution to every bean. Every roast is tended to with the utmost care to ensure that key flavor characteristics are released at the optimum roasting time.
